You Are Different

Have you ever stood in front of your mirror and looked at the reflection of yourself? Do you notice anything in you, different from what the other person has? Do you not think that you are different from your friends and neighbours in physique? Do you realise the difference between you and the members of your family though you share similar shapes of nose, eyes, lips, gait etc?

Well, whether you realise it or not, you are different. Even with the seeming resemblance between you and your siblings, one can easily spot you from them. That  is the difference... Wonderful!

The first epistle of peter 2:9 declares that "...ye are a chosen generation, a royal Priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people that ye...". The difference you have in the physical world is determined by what God has made you to be in the spirit realm. If you have been chosen by God, it means He has separated you from others and made you a holy and peculiar person. Once this has happened to you, there's nothing you can do about it. All you need is to realise what you are in the sight of God.

When the hand of the Lord rests upon you, you become different from everyone around you, includng your family, friends, co-workers, fellow students, etc. God makes you stand out and your life style brings glory to God.

You are greater. You are a special breed and that is why the bible says; "you are a chosen generation". When a man is special in the sight of God, He openly testifies of him. Two case study of people God testified of in the bible were:

• JOB - This can be found in Job 1:8
• NATHANIEL - This can be found in John 1:47b
